 This event featured three speakers: Doug Rokke, a Vietnam and Gulf War I Veteran and the Army's expert on depleted uranium Douglas Lind Rokke is not the Army's expert on anything, let alone depleted uranium. Rokke falsely claims to be a disabled combat veteran - he never saw combat - he sat out the war safe and sound in the headquarters at Riyadh - he never tells his audiences that he was ordered to Saudi Arabia as a First Lieutenant, Army Reserve. He falsely claims that he led the decontamination team after the war. He was "attached" to the decontamination team and the Army gave him the Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) of Health Physicist for that attachment - he does not meet the minimum qualifications to be a Health Physicist in civilian life. He has a PhD in Vocational Education and his thesis title is "Perceived physics concepts needed to teach secondary technology education as general education".
Leuren Moret, a whistle-blower from Livermore National Laboratory, expert lecturer on the health effects of depleted uranium - Leuren K Moret, BS, Geology, UC Davis, 1968, is not a whistleblower - she had a fairly low level computer job at the laboratory and worked there less than a year from 1989-1990. Both her and Rokke put on a very convincing show, but it is a show. She has no real expertise from either academic coursework or work experience about depleted uranium. She is similarly unqualified to lecture about radiation or to use radiation detection instrumentation such as the Gamma Scout Meter with which she claimed to be detecting depleted uranium in the air over Hawaii. Moret, like Rokke is a total fraud.
and Veteran Staff Sergeant Dennis Kyne who served as an Army medic during Gulf War I. Because they speak out about depleted uranium (DU), all three of these people are constantly harassed by the US government and its agents. Anyone who digs up and reports the truth about these three has to be an agent of some kind. We interfere with their con game and interrupt the flow of donations and sales of their books and DVDs. If the US government were truly involved, they would not have withheld any documents from Rokke's files in response to my Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, they would make the names of every single member of the team in Kuwait available, they would make Rokke's records at the Army Chemical Corps School in 1995 available. Further all three of these people would be on the "no fly list", but just Googling where they have been and spoken will show that they continue to travel around the world on other people's dimes. Both Rokke and Kyne are in extremely serious medical condition because of their exposure to depleted uranium and other toxicants that the military tells our valiant warriors are safe. Neither Rokke nor Kyne are in any medical condition because of their exposure to depleted uranium - Rokke has been claiming to be dying for years - he never was exposed to DU in the Army. His only claimed exposure was at a test that he went to on his own at the Nevada Test Site in 1994. He had no orders to attend this test and he was not exposed to DU, but he claimed he might be and the Dept of Energy did a very costly test as a result. They then compounded the error by giving him an erroneous test report that made it appear that Rokke had a very high level of DU in his urine. The corrected test result with the decimal point in the right place makes it obvious that he doesn't but Rokke brags about the mistaken one because it proves his point.

Groups The first link is the UN Environmental Programme report on its extensive field and laboratory examination of actual use of DU kinetic energy penetrators fired by the A-10 Warthog in Boznia-Herzegovina. This report shows the extent that the scientific team dug up the dirt, measured the water and even that a number of the DU projectiles were still intact in their aluminum casings. Dr Rosalie Bertell in a private e-mail to me claimed that the A-10 firings of DU penetrators left plumes of DU in the air from the aircraft to the ground - the numerous photos of intact aluminum casings disproves this claim and if that claim is one of the bases of Dr Bertell's diatribes against DU, is she really an expert either or just someone with an axe to grind?
