Unhappy Six people dead in Kirkwood, MO

Boy, I wonder what it takes to have gun control?

A friend of mine, who is a sportswriter, emailed me last night that one of his closest friends' ex-wife was killed in that shooting in Kirkwood, MO.

Gosh, I wonder what the NRA would think about more strict gun control? We have a guy who was a common pest at city council meetings, and he goes and shoots these people, before being killed by police.

Closer to home in the San Fernando Valley community of Canoga Park, a young Latino kills his family, a SWAT officer, before being killed by a SWAT team member.

Of course the NRA would say that guns don't kill people. People who use guns maliciously kill people when using the deadly weapon.

My heart goes out to the man I know from working the Padres' games whenever the St. Louis Cardinals come to San Diego. I feel so terrible about this.
