Nearly every government in the world believed he had WMD's, Not just us. Its Saddams own fault that he was invaded for that reason, if he had been straight with the nuclear inspectors, and not gave them the run around for months, he would have never been in that position to begin with. How soon we forget the highly suspisious(sp?) movements by Saddam for months leading up to the war. HE WANTED people to think he had these weapons
Because he had to keep an appearance of strength due to Iran. Plain and simple.
If need be we can go take a look back into history and find when this all truly became an issue. Anyone ever hear of T.E. Lawrence? You know, Lawrence of Arabia. That period in history is when the hatred of the west began in earnest. Why? Because of lies and trickery on the part of the west, which to this very day is causing problems.

You can still love your country, without being okay with the many, many thousands of unnecessary deaths it has caused. I love my country, but not a corrupt and imperial government lying to it's people in order to ensure access to a dwindling supply of oil, while exponentially increasing the wealth of those who contributed to the Bush campaign. There are better ways to go about securing future American stability.
