I finally went out and bought a printer with an RJ45 connection on it because I was tired of moving the USB printer back and forth. I consider myself a little more educated than the average person when it comes to this sort of stuff, and I have been all over Vista's control panel. I can't seem to figure it out. Any tips you could offer? | Hey Segep,
Sorry for the late reply..Work has really been kicking my ass
Vista surely is a pain in the a$$ when it comes to sharing media/files. You should be able to have full-control in "Network and Sharing Center" in your Control Panel. Once you are there, verify printer sharing is enabled, file-sharing, etc.
Once that is verified, go to your printers folder and right-click and select Share. If you want to share any files or folders on your network, do the same (right-click share).
Hope this helps! |
