Which is basic nonsense. The problem appears because the USA has been growing so wealthy, more middle class are moving up to "rich," and not as many are moving from poor to middle class. This latter issue is because of immigration (which tend to be made up of poor people) has increased which has driven up the numbers of poor in the USA.
The conclusion being made, or trying to be made is that the "rich are getting richer and the poor are getting richer" is false.
