| gary perhaps reading the bible would be good for you keeping holy the Sabbath (which early Catholics changed to Sunday in observance of the reserrection) is in both the Old and New Testament
Matthew 5:17-19 Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law ... not until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law ..."
We could argue over which day the Sabbath is suppose to be but you are required to keep it holy and as Jesus didn't come to abolish the Law you now have to stop eating shellfish
Nor did God (who'd be Jesus) say divorce was Ok he said
Malachi 2:16a: “I hate divorce, says the Lord God of Israel.”
“So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate” (Matthew 19:6) see also Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5; Ephesians 5:31..of course there is the the marital unfaithfullness..oddly only women can be unfaithful Matthew 5:32
But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery. Matthew 19:9
I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery.
The fact that some of you Christians heretics ignore it is why you are on the highway to hell and shows how easy it is to read whatever you want into the bible because men wrote ..you pretty much know that God is man made when it turns out he dislikes or disapproves of the same things you do..especially when those things change over time
Its a sad indictment of marriage that Christians so easily enter into it and justify breaking vows they made to God and before God ..although to my happiness it shows their and your hypocrisy |
