To say it more clearly, it is my strong belief that the prophecies told concerning the true Savior were widespread as traders and merchants, explorers and nomads did travel in the Ancient World, for spices, and silks, for conquests and curiosity.

And that the gospel that was looked forward to by those to whom it was revealed was shared.

So it is NOT that Christianity borrowed the tales of false religions, but that those people groups that heard the wondrous prophecies regarding the Unique Person of Jesus Christ, did borrow and incorporate the gospel renderings that described this God-man Savior in their own religions.
