Higher punishments have never led to less drug use.

This is a fact from many studies.

However, legalization has been proven to reduce the death rates from drugs.

Ever since Nixon declared his *WAR ON DRUGS* campaign. Illegal drugs have been at there highest usage rate.

When Canada declared that they'd be increasing the punishment for marijuana use... the little known of drug usage sky rocketed.

If punishment is not an answer . . . why are such harmless drugs having such high punishments?

Somethings never make sense.
