Laws designed to protect a person from them-self (victimless crimes) are absurd, especially in a supposed free society. Destroying a marijuana users life by imprisoning them, decimating them financially & socially, creating havoc for their family, and incurring a high financial burden for society seems to be doing far more damage than the act of smoking the drug could ever do. it also fosters a criminal underground that simply would not exist if the stupid weed were legal.
