Those 6 million Jews couldn't have stopped Hitler with or without guns.
Many of the countries annexed by the Nazis during the 1930's had free access to firearms. That didn't stop them from being occupied.
Iraq has never had any gun control laws, and most Iraqis own guns. But that didn't stop Saddam from oppressing Iraq for over 30 years, nor the US from occupying it in 3 weeks!
Ditto Angola, Rwanda, Uganda under Amin, Chile under Pinochet and many many other examples.
The idea that gun ownership provides a defence against an army is nonsense.
