This thread begs the question why there is no "conservative" candidate left.

Is it because:

A) 7 years of Bush and his neo-conservative adventures have crippled the conservative movement, possibly for decades

B) Many prospective conservative candidates are either in jail, awaiting trial or thoroughly disgraced (Powell, Gingrich, DeLay, Libby, Abramovich, etc)

C) The Vice President isn't running (does anyone really think he would win if he WAS running??)

D) Competing over who is the most like Ronald Reagan means nothing to 40% of American voters who weren't old enough to vote when he was elected

E) All of the above
