That is another thing-probably the most impotant thing people must start learning; buying above their means.America must also learn the true difference between needs and wants. Gary's example of the Lexus at 20% interest is a very good example. I can understand that one needs a car for transportation. But to feel that that car must be a Lexus is the true problem; when the individual is looking at a huge note to be repaid-at 20 percent!
Do you really need a Lexus? What can this car do that a Ford Focus, say; cannot? Granted; the Lexus is more classy. That is where one must be able to draw that fine line between Needs and wants.
