Funny thing is, I didn't know I could have kids. My then girlfriend and I had just moved from my bachelor house to our first house together after being together for about 7 years when she turned up pregnant. It was a shock. I quit working as a car-note collector after my son was born so that she could work full time and get promoted to manager. It worked. I'm stay at home because it maximizes our potential income and standard of living. Since I can only work part time, it's just the smart thing to do.
