Yeah maybe so, but those are the rules in place. I signed up with the recruiter that our government sent to my school looking for people to join the military. I took the ASVAB and aced it. They gave me a signing bonus, rank, choice of duty station, and a cushy job as a tech. Then I got sick under the rules that are in place for service-members. I did nothing dishonest, and I am quite happy winning the kidney lottery. 17 years later, I'm still rather healthy, have been retired since I was 21 with nice healthy disability checks hitting direct deposit every month.
