RWE, don't blame a damn thing on hiphop (I think you're refering to hiphop when you say rap, they're actually pretty different), blame it on rich pieces of glamshit who've never spent a day in the life of.

There's true beauty in true hiphop, not that shit they play on the radio. Listen to artists like Dilated Peoples, Immortal Technique, Heiroglyphics, or Sage Francis. That's real hiphop.

Popular culture has it all wrong, man. They're exposing people to the stuff that--if Americans had ANY taste at all--they would cringe in disgust from.

You also have to realize that the majority of idiots who're actually influenced by that crap haven't spent a day in the streets; you're saying a 'nigger' is someone who lives off welfare and can't get a job or an education. Ever heard of tenements? Ghettos? Slums?

Let me educate you a little bit about American History- there was an event that took place in the 1950's called the 'White Flight'. The creation of suburbs attracted many people who grew up during the Depression/WW2 years since they were used to so little. Many young white couples started moving into these homes and created the huge, American middle class.

This growing middle class was mostly white since suburban neighborhoods started to follow the trend of not letting minority groups into their area seeing as the Jim Crow laws hadn't yet been abolished; though there were no laws saying that minority groups had to stay out, there was still the problem of social segregation.

Since this large white migration, the circulation of money through urban cities started to slow down and the tax base in these cities began to drop, thus creating ghettos, where all these minority groups were stuck in because of the lack of acceptance or inability to survive anywhere else.

These ghettos have just been growing poorer and poorer as suburban houses get bigger and fancier. You have to realize that the people living in these areas have a lot of trouble getting out because that's all they can afford and if they can afford school, they're not going to go because it interferes with their work schedule which will cut off the flow of money.

In short- these are people who're stuck between a rock and a hard place, so give them a little more respect.

Okay, done.
