Go to Huntsville and you will see the astronauts train at the Marshall Space Flight Center there. Or go to Mobile and visit the convention center where I bowled 14 years ago. Also see the Gulf of Mexico there.

But there is one thing I like about Birmingham: it has one of the world's best medical schools, and the Vulcan Statue. Ain't no ham like Birmingham.

And oh yes: you will find Waffle Houses and Cracker Barrel restaurants there, too.
