Why do you think God should be constrained to a "personal inner experience" like some sort of fantasy figure Or is this how you rationalise doing things which you know are against God's will? | First of all, religion is a personal experience, not the rule of law. People who choose to believe in something that cannot be proven, and then try to force their beliefs onto the rest of us are overstepping their bounds.
And I would not be so arrogant as to claim to know God's will. I leave people to make their own minds up about God, and live their lives according to their faith. That does not mean that they are the possessors of the only path to God or enlightenment, nor are they free to impose their version of their God's will onto others.
My behavior and my decisions are not for anyone else to control, unless I am breaking the secular laws of the land. My soul's condition is between me and my version of God. We should be allowed to be in charge of our own lives, make our own choices and learn from our own mistakes. You follow your free will, and I'll follow mine.
