Just because they prefer not to have sex with the opposite sex doesn't mean they are physically incabable of doing so.
But in those cases they aren't real parents, just sperm donors. And their offspring have to go through life knowing their biological father didn't love them enough to provide a real mother, and gave them his homosexual buddy instead.
