nor is it what i said, just what you want to twist it into. the point is that marriage can be, has been and should be redefined to reflect social changes. sonething you are not able to argue, so you resort to twisting words around. The fact is that easing divorce laws has cost "society" trillions of dollars and caused untold misery to billions of children, and adults. For many of those people the sky already did fall.
interesting. i made the point once before on this forum (i think) that the real enemy of marriage is divorce. if one is serious about defending "traditional marriage" then your target should be divorce. gay marriage is very much secondary.
looks like garysher is taking this up. are you going to start a thread about how divorce threatens the institution of marriage, and argue that divorce should be banned in this society for our moral health? |
