But here is a link to a truly acclaimed witch. And she has a lovely voice, and is for religious freedom and tolerance, and is pagan.

Ali, do you remember telling me that you were in a coven and then you changed to another one? Are coven members not witches?

I think if I was a witch, I would just wear the label proudly and let others either like it or lump it. The way I wear fundy or Christian, I don't care what others think about it.

I wasn't saying 'witch' carried a negative meaning...I said that being a 'witch' is a specific path...One I do not follow the traditions of.

Also, I've never told you I belonged to a coven then switched to another one...I told you that I had belonged to a coven, left for several years to pursue as a solitary, then rejoined the same coven the year before last.

Being in a coven doesn't mean being a witch. Some covens are, some are not. I don't belong to a coven that practices witchcraft or it's members witches.

IF I was a witch, followed the path of witchcraft, then I'd have no problem being called one...But I am not a witch nor follow those particular teachings. So to call me one, or insist that that's the path I follow is as incorrect as telling a Christian they are Muslim or Jewish...

Some Wiccans/Pagans do practice witchcraft and consider themselves as witches...But not all. I'm one of those that ISN'T a witch, nor practices witchcraft nor belongs to a coven that practices witchcraft...

Some Witches are Wiccans/Pagans...But not all Witches are Wiccan/Pagan but follow another path instead.

It's like your being Christian...Catholics are Christians but not all Christians are Catholic. Two very similiar teachings, but totally different traditions and practices.
