P.S. For the record, Highway, what do you think does greater injury to a person? To be called Homo- or one of those other referenced "slurs" or to be told you are brain dead and drooling at the keyboard? Or having your mortality questioned as if perhaps it is not valuable enough to maintain?

The answer to your question is that depends on who you are talking to. Many times in my childhood days I was called an "M.R." because of my handicap (hearing). Whereas I could have punched their lights out, but I took the verbal abuse anyway and did nothing. That would have made it worse, and only I could have gotten in trouble if and when any adult heard about it, like my parents or the principals, et al. If my younger sister saw what was happening to me, she would have punched the offenders' lights out. Some kids were cruel in those days.
Lord I was glad that those days were long past. But in my elementary school days, the words describing gays were unheard of. It is when in high school I began to hear those words, but I did not know what that word meant. Later on, about maybe 15 years later, I finally connected the two words together. It took me a long time on that before I connected the dots.
I still seek a relationship with a lady. Who knows. That might come next month, three months from now, or whenever. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105 |
