Getting to know members
I noticed the biography section doesn't have much space for information in the member profiles so I thought it would be easier to get to know a member that arrived on the board much earlier than you if there were a place a new member could go to see a members background.

Like a member may be listed as living in Florida but may be in the Army, Navy or other service in a war zone. Could be easier to become familiar with those you meet that have been around longer on the board if there was a link to a voluntarily personal page. It wouldn't have to be full of details but just a down and dirty... here's an example using me...

Quote:
Born in WV on the family farm in 1948. Family moved to New Jersey when I was 17. Graduated high school in Princeton High Princeton NJ. Drafted in the army Nov. 67. Made army a career and retired as a First Sergeant/Master Sergeant in Jan. 80. Worked as a computer training specialist training soldiers around the world for the army with a private contractor following retirement. Married a woman in Germany from Puerto Rico and moved to PR and have lived there ever since.
You could see how something like this would be handy if you were a new member and wanted to learn something about a member that had been around for several years since it would be difficult to find an Introduce Yourself post.
