Go read the declaration of independence!
The people of the state pick the electoral college voters when they cast their ballots in the election.

Each state determines how the electoral votes will be cast, some states do not award all votes to the winning candidate in the state, I believe New Hampshire is one, in which the electoral votes are divided according to the winner of the different congresional district.

50 states that have the ability to determine how they will cast there electoral college votes, where is the oppression.

As far as monopolies go, if one company can produce a product better and cheaper than all others, why shouldn't they get all the business??

I agree, on all counts.
