this has got interesting.

where do i draw the line ? hint: wiccan

thank you waitingtables for reminding everyone that the capacity to raise children is not solely determined by ones sexual orientation. the actual capacity to give a stable and loving home to children has never been raised in any media release i have read about this family. people seem to be confident to comment on things they cannot know

transgendered people and also people with ambiguous genitalia at birth generally identify as a particular gender from a very early age. this is their gender. surgery might then be used later to bring the body in line with what the mind has always felt was right. any reputable surgeon will not have operated unless there was no doubt about this decision.

i think any abnormality is best considered as this being a man who was born with an abberation in his pelvis, namely having a uterus (and, for a while some other bits, but they were surgically removed a while ago). when his wife had a hysterectomy, this suddenly became useful.

if the media circus is damaging to the family, it is probably not more so than the media circus that follow the royals, or many celebrities. but that is nothing intrinsically to do with gender politics.

and the image of tigerwiccan flat on his back is still stuck in my head. unfortunately, so is the image of fxashun flat on his back.
