You hire the individual that will garner the greatest return on investment, regardless of race, ethnicity, etc. There is no other criteria. Corporations, perhaps, should have some regulation to ensure that the shareholders' interests are reflected in the management decision making process, but private entrepreneurs ought to have the right to hire whom they damn well please. The risk is the business owners', not society, and the business owner should control his/her own business.
| What is inherently immoral in this country is the way minorities are still treated in this country! Especially in the black community. Rascism is still a MAJOR factor in this country and blacks don't have an equal chance because of it. AA is absolutely necessary because of this reason... and a trip into any inner city in America will back this up. Visitors from overseas are SHOCKED at the hypocrisy that is America. We sit in our suburban paradise as we let our brothers suffer! |
