Bush:savior or liar?
Adolf Hitler once said that "The great masses of the people will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one." and he also said that "the majority can never replace the man. And no more than a hundred empty heads make one wise man will an heroic decision arise from a hundred cowards". These two quotations in a way summarize both the Republican and Democrat view of the Bush administration. Maybe Bush is not lying at all maybe he is, but often i wonder, why can 't people think for themselves? Do you really need the president to talk on tv or listen to Dems and Reps arguing on either Fox or CBS? is it all mentioned in fahrenhit 9/11 or fahrenype? look at the way things have been since 2000. America invaded a country based on false accusations (the WMD"s were never found rite?) countless scandals in the whitehouse that would put watergate to shame, loss in popularity on a worldwide scale but most importantly the same problems that affected US internally before 9/11 are still there and some people are still out there arguing on behalf of their party and prefer to view the world based on their party affiliation rather than their own conscience. I personally did not like the idea of Bush as president but since he won the election (at least in 04) his legitmacy is undeniable. never the less people need to understand that while O reilly and co are there talking people are dying in great numbers and now there are soldiers fighting in iraq for weapons that were never there in the first place, i have friends that are there rite now and i pray that they would be safe but why did Bush allow so many lives to be wasted based on false information and don t tell me he wanted to liberate the iraqis from their regimes because in Africa there are far worse regimes than Saddam's and nobody cares at all to liberate them, and moreover pakistan is not an ideal democracy either (trust me on that i have been there) so what is really happening? why can t we just agree that what he has done isd wrong (very wrong) and come together to fix this problem? there are so many things that need to be fixed in this country this is no time to play "good guys bad guys" am a moderate republican myself but at least i know when the party i support is not really doing the rite thing and i prefer to voice my opinion rather than sit back and watch lest we forget what Theodore Roosevelt (God bless his soul) once said: "To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else."
