I deeply despise that. Its so aggravating when politicians do that. Either we need to send many more troops into Iraq or pull out all together. Get the job done, not half-ass. The military has always been saying they need more troops. They're spread thin. No wonder its become such a military disaster.

Scaling down the number of troops will only make it worse. It maddens me so much when politicians offer that, or when Bush does it. Its like he see's that the popularity for the war has gone way down, and many Americans would like to see a withdraw, so he pulls out like a couple thousand troops? As if its like a compromise? He's a business man, and he's going to think in terms of business. The casualties are just numbers to him, just statistics. That's why you see him struting around without any shame or guilt for the disaster his war has become.

Eisenhower once said as President, "God help any man who sits behind this desk who doesn't know the military like I do." And he couldn't be more right.
