April 13, 2006
GONZALES - The Gonzales County Courthouse will have a new twinkle this Christmas season.
On Monday, the commissioners court agreed to advertise for new lighting for the courthouse and named Commissioner Kevin LaFleur to head up the lighting acquisition. "We need to change the Christmas lights," said County Judge David Bird. "These have been up there for nine years. They are very susceptible to the weather and have deteriorated over the years. It's just time for new ones."
In other action, the court approved a contract with the Rockdale Junior Justice Center, approved housing of inmates for TransCor, and approved an increase in the hourly rate for courthouse security to $20.70.
The court also received the annual racial profiling report from the Gonzales County Sheriff's Department. http://www.thevictoriaadvocate.com/l...-3978394c.html My posts may contain copyrighted material the use of which has not always been specifically authorized by the copyright owner.
