In Buffalo, our economy has collapsed since Bethlehem Steel moved to Mexico. Unskilled workers are basically out of luck, unless they intend to go into the service industry. Perhaps they can explain to you why they tried to force a corporation to pay $75,000 per year salaries for non-skilled workers. Perhaps they can also explain to you there own, personal, massive retirement funds they amassed at the expense of union dues.
Further, you really cannot blame Bethlehem Steel for moving operations to Mexico - where they can find a mass of workers who will actually WORK for their pay instead of sit around demanding more money, more vacations, more retirement, more benefits and more everything but work.
