Don't waste your time on a Prius. I've heard lots of bad things about them - including the mileage. Get a TDI Volkswagen. Or a Geo Metro if you don't drive much.
We love motorcycles at our house. I've got a 1500 Kawasaki, one son has an 800 Kawasaki and our other son is buying a 750 Yamaha. It's the best of both worlds: Good gas mileage, and we get to be obnoxious at the same time.
