I found a local article about a guy that burns biodiesel straight out of the fryer at a local chinese restaurant. Do you smell eggrolls? | No eggrolls.
I'd rather burn McDonalds' WVO - that way I could smell like a huge French Fry (oops, FREEDOM Fry) going down the road.
I don't have the links on this computer, but I know there are some small companies that make dual-fuel conversion kits for diesels - enabling them to start and stop on petrol-diesel, and run while hot on WVO.
If I had a long commute, I would have kept my diesel VW Rabbit and done exactly that.
