On the flip side of the coin, a kid that used to be a good friend of one of my sons started smoking pot when he was in about 9th grade. As far as I know, he never went on to anything "bigger and better". But now, at age 20, the kids is a complete burn-out.
Why the difference? What accounts for that? Seriously... | Most people I know are satisfied with pot and don't wander far from it. A few of my friends don't drink and only smoke pot!!! Which is a drag when I'm trying to have a drink at the bar (alone).
I would certainly not recommend such a young person to smoke pot (or drink). The mind and body are still developing and there is much to learn at school. I didn't start smoking pot until late in my senior year of high school (when my diploma was already in the bag).
I think 18 would be a resonsible age for alcohol and marijuana. You are an adult, you can join the military, drive, vote and make decisions about your life. --- help me Instant Runoff Voting, you're my only hope --- There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence. |
