I would certainly not recommend such a young person to smoke pot (or drink). The mind and body are still developing and there is much to learn at school. I didn't start smoking pot until late in my senior year of high school (when my diploma was already in the bag).

I think 18 would be a resonsible age for alcohol and marijuana. You are an adult, you can join the military, drive, vote and make decisions about your life.
