The King Once Upon a time, there was a great King. He had a beautiful and large kingdom with all that entails. Loyal subjects, good food, good times. Plenty of time to enjoy life. The King thought this was his due.
One day, as he was enjoying one of his many long respites of fun and relaxation with his paid friends, he remembered the message he had been told a few days before. It did not trouble him.
The message was that there was trouble in one of his villages. Now true, he had so many villages in his Kingdom. The entire Kingdom was as huge in land as could be imagined and as diverse. He wasn't quite sure why he had been troubled by this tidbit. After all, what did he care if some Stone, Wood, and Plant Creatures of Soul were slaughtered by some Magic Freak Storm?
Well, actually, there were a lot more than that. There were also some Trolls, Gnomes, Fairies, Ogres, Nymphs and Satyrs. But, in a Kingdom the size of mine, you get all kinds. The King thought to himself then promptly dismissed the thoughts and went on with his day of being catered to in as many ways as he could imagine.
A Couple of Days later, he had heard enough about this Catastrophic Magic Storm. Even from his paid friends. Oh well, I will check it out, the King thought. This place is beginning to bore me anyway. Away he went on his Flying Horse. It diden't have a name. He had never cared enough about it to name it.
Anyway, The King checked out the state of some of his villages. Most of them were cut in half. Families torn apart by the Power of the Magic Storm. Many of the main branches of the Creatures of Soul were nearly Decimated. Habitats gone completely. Not a lot of Trolls and such were left either, but his Kingdom diden't need very many of those anyway, he thought. What did They do for him anyway?
However, he made a half-hearted attempt at sending help. It was complicated and a mess but he diden't really care. Or diden't Notice. It wasn't really such a large village anyway. Well, some of the villages were large that were damaged but really, he had other priorities.
Anyway, time went on and the Creatures of Soul that were left regrouped or went to other villages. Some very far away from home.
The King, oh yes, his name was King Duh-bya, heard the discontent of his subjects but he was very busy entertaining his paid, and oh yes I almost forgot, some weren't paid but WERE Rich. Those friends are always nice to have around, the King thought.
This was but one bit of time in the King's life. It is truly interesting the things that happen and how the King actually sees them. But frankly, I am tired of talking about him right now, so this is
