And by all means, your anology is completely wrong historically. Although soldiers would have rather had peace, they would rather be fighting Hitler and his troops in Europe than pulling out. Soldiers would run away from army hospitals just so they can join their men on the front lines. But what happens in Iraq? Suicide rate goes up, soldiers would rather come home, and even soldiers work up their own withdrawl plans. I'm not doubting the bravery or the patriotism of the soldiers in the Iraq war at all, I'm just saying that the war in Iraq is completely unjustified and is currently just making things a lot worse...and soldiers know this. Especially compared to US soldiers fighting in Europe against Nazi Germany. | That's funny. I've also read about Iraq veterans who've lost limbs and now, fitted with artificial limbs, are re-upping to go back.
Oooops, I suppose I wasn't supposed to have seen that. |
