What tax bracket are you in? In other words, what percentage of your income is automatically withdrawn for taxes? Do you even know? Probably not!

What tax bracket is the medical doctor in? In other words, what percentage of that doctor's income is automatically withdrawn for taxes? Do you even know? Probably not!


The cute little table that Hevusa posted means virtually NOTHING. It's talking about AVERAGES. But what it does NOT talk about is whether said "income brackets" are based on gross total income, net income, taxable income, net taxable income, after-tax income, and/or filing status. It says virtually nothing.
