When I flipped burgers I got $1.00 an hour. That was 1965. Raising the minimum wage does only one thing and that is raise everyone elses also. You gain nothing. Flipping burgers in those jobs was not designed for a living wage for people unless you want to be a manager or supervisor. They are entry jobs for high school kids or retired people to supplement as you go through school. If that is your vocation, then you really don't have much on the ball to begin with and just need the government to raise your wage every so often because you don't have what it takes to advance yourself. That is socialism.
