I would LOVE for the republicans on this site to freeze their bank accounts, have no access to their health insurance and try to survive with at least 1 child living on minimum wage for a couple months.

They would come 180 on the need to raise the minimum wage.
Shoot, my oldest son was going to college - and making $10 per hour, plus benefits, throwing boxes for UPS. He was 20 at the time. He was working part time, and had much better health insurance that I have.

You are under the mistaken assumption that companies print their own money to pay their employees. The truth, however, is that a company that is making no money cannot pay ANYthing to ANY employees - regardless of what Federal minimum wage is.
