Can you even explain why this supposed "national debt crisis" is a "crisis"? And, "Because my teacher said so" is NOT an adequate argument.
The economy is booming - despite the setbacks such as 9/11, Katrina, etc. But all most people can do is sit around screaming, "Bush ruined the American economy!!!!!" Unfortunately, everything keeps coming back and hitting y'all in the face. | I am not saying that Bush ruined the American economy. Fortunately, America is not socialist, so Bush isn't pulling all of the strings. I am saying that a high national debt tends to have a negative impact on the value of the dollar. I never used the words "national debt crisis." I merely suggested that a high national debt could have a potentially negative impact on the American economy. I also never claimed that "Bush ruined the economy." Fortunately, he doesn't have the power to do so, at least, not directly.
I'm a college student, and I'm not totally loaded, so I have never owned my own home.
I think you're misinterpreting what I am saying based on your stereotypes of "liberals." I'm not liberal though. Strawman?
In addressing the liberals... Why do you folks care if there's a high national debt? I thought you were all about deficit spending. Keynesian economics anyone? Admittedly, the money would be going to public services, but a lot of it is, and things aren't getting any better. |
