Hello! It was nipped in the "bud", no pun intended, at the governor level obviously he was tough on drugs if it wasn't his family!

Good Lord wake up!

Despite His Uncle's Crusade For Tougher Federal Drug Laws And Mandatory Prison Sentences

Ashcroft was the tough-on-drugs Missouri governor at the time.

If the President and Attorney General at the time were too busy to prosecute, he could have stepped in as governor and prosecuted to the fullest!
