Here's my take on it:
Most Christians (probably most people) do NOT view the Death Penalty as even similar to abortion. One takes the life of a pre-born baby, one (at least in theory, if the person is PROVEN guilty) takes the life of a convicted felon - likely a murderer.
One is murder, the other is justice.
As pertaining to war... I don't think there is any one "view" that Christians take. Some are absolute pacificists (Anabaptists & Mennonites), while others tend to take a rather aggressive military stance. Some believe strongly in looking at Augustine's view of "Just War". |
