Ah, Israeli money...

Notable Jews, whether Israeli or not, make an appearance.

Moshe Montifiori, for example, appears on the 1975 Israeli Lira. This Italian Jewish philanthropist built a hospice and a windmill for Jews outside the old city of Jerusalem in the 1800's. The community which sprang up is the oldest Jewish neighborhood outside the walls of the Old City.

Rambam, the great eleventh century Jewish philosopher and Rabbi, appears on the one thousand shekel note.
