You only have a couple of options. Raise taxes to cover the increased costs, or take from the public schools. (Or some variant inbetween...)

Are you advocating higher taxes?

I wasn't "admitting" that at all. It's simple logic.
If you have "two" alternatives, and you make one alternative more economically feasible, you're going to see more people switch to that alternative.

And moreover, I suspect that public schools do provide an inferior product. I think that should be fairly easy to check with test scores and the like.
But I haven't looked, and I suspect you haven't either Jefferson.

The money IS ALREADY BEING SENT TO THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS. When are you going to be able to get that through your thick skull? That is the way funding is presently granted. There is no need for increased taxes. It's simply a matter of sending the money to the schools the kids are attending - which is already happening.

We're talking about creating a level playing field - something liberals HATE.

Make it so that it doesn't cost any more, or any less, to send your kids to school - regardless of where parents send them.

Let the best schools win.

Once again, the questions you REFUSE to answer, FoundIt66:
1. Why are you so anti-monoply when it comes to business and industry, but so PRO-MONOPOLY when it comes to education - especially the education of America's poorest kids?
2. Why do you feel that public schools need to be protected, coddled and babied? Let them operate on a level playing field with all other schools.
