You seem to define "bigotry" based on what is pleasing to you. I don't employ such a subjective definition.
If I were confronted with a candidate which was a pedophile, I would admit it was bigotry that would make me vote against him. "(Gay marriage) is a debate about whether you think gay people are part of the human condition or just a random fetish."
