This isnt a movie. He sat there during that brief period of time because there was nothing he could say that moment. What was he supposed to do? Jumo up and say "OH MY GOD WE;VE BEEN ATTACKED WE'RE GONNA DIE". On top of that the president couldnt have walked out of the room if he wanted to. AT that point the nature of the threat was unclear. Was the attack over? Was the President a target? No one knew. No doubt a few minutes were need to for the secret service to check the perimeter and give an all clear.

As for the impeachment. I have an idea. How bout you liberals quit getting your asses kicked in elections and win the damn thing out right. Instead of losing and then crying about it. The way to get elected is to get some ideas, some thoughts, a plan. However, you and the rest of your people are ideologically bankrupt. Instead of looking to the future and reforming the system you look for protectionist domestic policies to support entitlements that will bankrupt the republic (social security etc) and horrible pro-tax anti growth economic policies which will cripple the economy.
