Actually, I haven't posted for quite awhile as it's futile to discuss "facts" with those who've been taught that there are no absolutes. A fact is whatever you want it to be. If 2 + 2 = 4 weren't so universal, I'm quite sure if you didn't want to believe that, you'd have come up with another equation a long time ago.
As on the first page of this thread, I believe it was you who countered alias by saying "it" (a fetus) isn't
legally alive. This is precisely your problem. You believe it's
your prerogative to believe whatever you want to believe and whatever you believe is a fact (like it's okay to kill a human being as long as
you believe its not "legally" alive,
when in fact, it most certainly IS alive. You admitted you know it's alive, but to get around it, you throw in other "reasoning" -- like "legally" alive.
What the younger generation doesn't realize, this teaching came along just in time for them by powers unknown to them. (Additionally), it was convenient for those (older) who simply wished to discard the truth. There can only be one truth. All else is lies. But, you, foundit, are not looking for truth. The lie is more convenient. Actually, I believe you know the truth...you've just determined not to believe it.
