I am still appalled that we did not use an air campaign first thing in Iraq. That is the logical thing to do. At this point I care even less about protecting their historical architecture and their mosques and the infrastructure because caring about those things cost too many soldiers' lives. The people at the top -- State Department? (maybe) ... Defense Department? (maybe) -- have seemed to be more concerned about things other than the most logical way to approach war.
