So lets see, the IDF used cluster bombs, which many people dislike because of the increased likelihood of noncombatant casualties, and phosophorous rounds fired from artillery, which some claim would violate internationally law.

Hmmmm. The last time I checked, the use of cluster bombs was not illegal, only highly suspect, and a wish, mind you a wish that they would not be used. As far as phosphorous, does anybody know what type of targets they were fired upon??? Once again, they are allowed to be used against equipment, which would include, vehicles, rocket launchers, and dwellings. Do we know for a fact that IDF fired these on troops in the open, or were they fired at one of the above forementioned targets????? Their use alone does not prove a violation. Last time I checked, according to the UN, there were not suppose to be weapons in the Gaza Strip area, is that not the reason for the observers, who were powerless to do anything in the first place???

I am not justifying a wrong with another wrong, but rather questioning if a wrong was committed. Again, use does not immediately mean wrong.

Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles
