As for "why these New Orleans evacuees are such criminals"... well, I try not to generalize about people. Sometimes they change. And we don't know each person's situation. We don't know that those who are still unemployed are sitting on their "lazy asses" expecting someone else to support them. We haven't interviewed them.
I myself respond better to encouragement than to criticism. Perhaps others do as well.
I do sense in your tone that you are angry about the situation. Why? | I'm sick to death of people making excuses, while I work and pay stifling amounts of taxes.
Good grief, I have never NOT worked. For instance, I worked almost 40-hours per week, as a college freshman, in addition to pulling 22 credits. I've done this my whole life. I was married, with 3 kids, and was working 50+ hours per week when I did graduate work. I spent COUNTLESS nights studying until 1-1:30 AM, then getting up at 6:00 AM and doing the routine over again. If I can do it, so can they.
And this is in spite of the fact that I've got a back that's so bad that I often can't stand up straight.
The VAST majority of all America's poor, uneducated and unemployed are that way because they CHOOSE to be that way. So yes, they need to quit making excuses, get off their lazy asses and get an education and a job. Period. |
