A little pot never hurt anybody.....(I said a little...) On the other hand, all drugs can do a lot of damage to the user and those around him. Society suffers..... Think of all the drunks out there.....and booze is legal. Think of drunk driving...... Drugs can make you do crazy things while you are high....often with lifelong consequences....like if you beat up or shoot somebody..... Drugs can make you go and possibly stay psychotic, give you a heart attack or stroke, or make you think you can fly and jump out a window..... I speak from experience with drunk and high relatives and others in my environment..... While the war on drugs is a bust--like prohibition--still more lives would be ruined by legalization. At least it scares off some......(If it is going to be legalized, at least make it a medicine that people will get in a clinic under doctor supervision.) Just with empirical evidence, drugs are BAD news and they should not be encouraged for religious or any other reason. I don't even want to think of a society where drug use (to get high) is legal and encouraged.....we have enough to deal with the drunks and prescription junkies..... I am against illegal drugs for health reasons, not moral ones.... Why would I care if people got high if there were no consequences?
